The Waveshare HRB8825 Stepper Motor HAT is engineered to provide precise motion control for Raspberry Pi and Jetson Nano platforms. At its core lies the HR8825 dual H-bridge motor driver chip, which natively supports up to 32 subdivisions (1/32 micro-stepping). This capability ensures exceptionally smooth and quiet motor operation, crucial for applications requiring fine positioning or reduced vibration.

Beyond its micro-stepping prowess, the HR8825 driver integrates essential protection circuits. These include short-circuit protection, thermal shutdown (overheating), undervoltage lockout, and cross-conduction protection.
