The sensor outputs a differential millivolt signal proportional to the applied load via its 4-wire cable (Excitation+, Excitation-, Signal+, Signal-). You must connect it to a dedicated load cell amplifier or 24-bit ADC (like an HX711) to amplify the small mV signal, convert it to a digital value, and interface with microcontrollers like Arduino or industrial PLCs.

The IP65 rating protects against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction, making it suitable for use in damp, dusty industrial environments. However, it is not submersible or rated for prolonged direct rainfall or high-pressure washing. For full outdoor exposure, additional protective enclosures for the electronics are recommended.

A single-point load cell is specifically designed for platform scales where the load can be applied off-center. Its internal geometry compensates for these moments, ensuring accurate measurement regardless of load position. Other types, like shear beam or s-type cells, require the force to be applied along a specific axis and are typically used in tank weighing or force testing applications.
