The RAK19016 Power Slot Module serves as the primary power conditioning and distribution hub for RAKwireless’s WisBlock ecosystem. It accepts a broad 5-24V DC input, typical of industrial power supplies or 12/24V rail systems, and regulates it to the stable voltages required by connected processor and radio cores. This design eliminates the need for external voltage regulators, simplifying system integration.
Beyond mains power, the module incorporates a dedicated charging circuit for single-cell lithium (Li-ion/LiPo) batteries, enabling hybrid or fully portable IoT node operation. Its compact, slot-based architecture allows it to snap directly onto a WisBlock base board, providing clean power, user feedback via LEDs, and system control via a reset button in a single, space-efficient unit.
