Always pair it with high-C-rate 12S batteries and ESCs rated for continuous current above 120A.

The motor incorporates two ultra-thin stainless steel mesh filters positioned inside the stator cavity. They act as a physical barrier to prevent dust and debris from contacting the copper windings and bearings. While highly durable, these filters are not typically user-serviceable without disassembling the motor. For maintenance in extremely abrasive environments, periodic inspection and careful cleaning with compressed air are recommended.

For optimal heavy-lift performance on 12S, pair this motor with large-diameter, low-pitch propellers, typically in the range of 18x6 to 22x10 inches, depending on your desired thrust efficiency and flight characteristics. You must use a high-quality Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) that supports 12S voltage and can deliver a continuous current of at least 130A to safely handle the motor's 122.3A peak draw, preferably with active cooling.

While its 380KV rating and high-torque design are primarily optimized for heavy-lift and efficient cruise flight, it can be used in large-scale, high-power racing drones built for 12S systems. However, its weight (~755g) and design focus on sustained power over peak burst RPM make it less ideal for lightweight, agile 5-inch racers compared to dedicated high-KV racing motors. It excels in applications where raw lifting capacity and thermal endurance are the priority.
