The KSD9700/BK05-BB1D is a bimetallic disc-type thermal protector housed in a metallic shell for optimal heat transfer and mechanical strength. Its operation is based on the differential thermal expansion of a bimetallic element, which snaps to open the circuit when the preset temperature threshold (155°C) is reached, providing fail-safe protection.
This switch is designed for direct series connection in the power line of the device it protects. It resets automatically once the temperature falls below the hysteresis point, typically 15-25°C below the trip point. The metallic housing ensures a fast thermal response and is suitable for applications requiring a robust, self-contained thermal cutoff solution.
