The KSD9700/BK05-BB1D is a bimetallic disc-type thermal switch designed for automatic over-temperature protection. When the ambient temperature reaches its factory-calibrated 145°C set point, the internal bimetallic disc snaps, mechanically opening the normally closed contacts to interrupt power to the protected circuit. This action prevents damage to sensitive components from excessive heat.
Housed in a robust metallic shell, the switch offers excellent thermal response and durability in demanding environments. The 7cm insulated lead wires facilitate straightforward wiring into control panels, motor windings, or power supply units. Its fixed, non-resettable design ensures a fail-safe thermal cutoff, requiring manual replacement after activation.
