This module utilizes the TCRT5000 photoelectric sensor, which combines an infrared emitter and a phototransistor in a single package. The onboard comparator circuit converts the analog phototransistor signal into a stable digital output, simplifying integration and reducing noise susceptibility. The module is engineered for stability and anti-interference, making it suitable for dynamic environments.
Designed primarily for robotic line-following applications, it provides a low-level output when detecting a dark/black surface (high IR absorption) and a high-level output over a reflective/white surface. Its compact form factor and pre-drilled mounting hole facilitate secure installation on robotic platforms and automated guided vehicles (AGVs).
