Generic RFP602 Resistive Thin Film Pressure Sensor 2KG
The Generic RFP602 is a resistive thin-film pressure sensor designed for detecting forces up to 2kg, featuring an ultra-thin 0.3mm profile and a fast <1ms response time. Its analog resistance output makes it compatible with common microcontrollers like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and ESP32 for force-sensing applications.
Features
- 2kg maximum force detection range for precise pressure measurement.
- Ultra-thin 0.3mm profile enables integration into tight spaces and flexible assemblies.
- Fast response time of less than 1 millisecond for real-time force feedback.
- Approximately 5mm diameter active sensing area for localized pressure detection.
- Wide operating temperature range from -30°C to 60°C for robust environmental performance.

The RFP602 operates on the principle of force-sensitive resistance (FSR), where applied pressure on its approximately 5mm diameter active area causes a corresponding decrease in electrical resistance. This analog output provides a variable signal proportional to the force, which can be conditioned and read by a microcontroller’s ADC pin for precise measurement.
Constructed with a flexible thin-film substrate, the sensor is durable and suitable for repeated use in dynamic environments. Its wide operating temperature range ensures reliable performance in various indoor and controlled industrial settings, making it ideal for integrating tactile feedback into electronic systems.
