Generic KSD302 Ceramic Temperature Control Switch Thermostat - 80°C NC, 250V 10A

The KSD302 is calibrated to open its normally closed (NC) contacts at a fixed setpoint of 80°C. There is typically a manufacturing tolerance of ±3-5°C. The switch will remain closed at temperatures below this point and open when the sensing area reaches approximately 80°C.

This thermostat is rated for 250V AC and 10A. Using it with DC voltages may affect its arc suppression and contact life. Do not exceed the 10A current rating. For DC or higher current applications, a relay or contactor should be used, with this thermostat acting as the low-power control signal.

The two terminals are for the single-pole, single-throw (SPST) normally closed contacts. In a typical safety circuit, you would wire the switch in series with the live (hot) AC line going to the load (e.g., a heater). The circuit is complete (load ON) when cold, and opens (load OFF) when the 80°C temperature is reached.

The KSD302 features an auto-resetting bimetallic disc. Once the temperature cools down below the setpoint (typically by 10-20°C), the disc will snap back, closing the contacts again and restoring power to the circuit automatically. There is no manual reset button.
