These settings help achieve smooth extrusion and preserve the filament's unique silk-gloss finish, ensuring successful and visually appealing prints.

While a heated bed can aid adhesion, eSUN PLA-Silk Magic typically prints well without one, especially if using an adhesive like glue stick or painter's tape on the build plate. An enclosure is generally not necessary, as PLA exhibits minimal warping compared to other materials. Print in a well-ventilated area.

To minimize stringing with silk PLA, fine-tune your retraction settings. Start with higher retraction distances and speeds. Adjust your printing temperature within the recommended range, as lower temperatures can reduce oozing. Ensure your filament is dry, as moisture can also contribute to stringing issues.

eSUN PLA-Silk prints generally require minimal post-processing. The material's natural silk-gloss finish is often desired as-is. For removing supports, careful manual removal is usually effective. Avoid sanding if you wish to retain the original sheen, as it can dull the surface. Acetone smoothing is not compatible with PLA.
