The beacon is configured over-the-air (OTA) using a dedicated mobile application. Download the manufacturer's app, power on the beacon, and use the app to scan for and connect to the device. Within the app interface, you can select the broadcast protocol (iBeacon, Eddystone, or AltBeacon), adjust the transmit power, set the advertising interval, and configure the UUID, Major, and Minor values to suit your specific application and deployment scenario.

Battery life depends on configured transmit power and advertising interval but can reach up to 12 months with a standard CR2032 coin cell under typical settings. To replace the battery, carefully open the IP65-rated ABS enclosure according to the manufacturer's instructions, swap the depleted cell with a new one of the same type (ensuring correct polarity), and reseal the case to maintain its weatherproof rating. Always verify the beacon's operation after battery replacement.

The beacon has a nominal broadcast range of up to 50 meters in an open, line-of-sight environment. In real-world indoor settings with walls, furniture, and other RF obstacles, the effective range will be reduced. For optimal coverage in complex environments, conduct a site survey and consider deploying multiple beacons with overlapping signals. The configurable transmit power allows you to balance range against battery consumption based on your specific needs.
