EasyMech Perpendicular Mounting Bracket for Sharp Microelectronics IR Sensors - MS Steel w/ Nylon Hardware
This perpendicular mounting bracket is engineered for secure and electrically isolated installation of Sharp Microelectronics GP2Y0A series and similar IR distance sensors. It includes non-conductive nylon hardware to prevent sensor short circuits and is compatible with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and robotics platforms.
Features
- Perpendicular orientation for 90° sensor mounting relative to surface.
- Constructed from 1mm-thick Mild Steel (MS) for rigidity and light weight.
- Includes insulating nylon bolts, nuts, and acrylic spacers for safe sensor mounting.
- Pre-drilled M3 holes for bracket and sensor attachment.
- Compact design optimized for Sharp Microelectronics IR distance measuring sensors.

The EasyMech Perpendicular Bracket provides a dedicated mechanical solution for mounting Sharp Microelectronics infrared distance sensors. Its 90-degree orientation is ideal for applications requiring perpendicular distance measurement, such as object detection on a moving platform or obstacle avoidance in robotics. The bracket’s design ensures the sensor body is held securely and positioned correctly for accurate ranging.
To prevent electrical shorts, as the sensor housing is conductive, the package includes non-conductive nylon M3 bolts and nuts paired with acrylic spacers. This isolates the sensor from the metal bracket. Separate M3 steel bolts and nuts are provided for attaching the bracket itself to your chassis, robot frame, or test fixture.
