The TFMini-S is an upgraded micro LiDAR module based on Benewake’s TFmini platform, featuring a significantly reduced blind zone of 10cm and improved outdoor accuracy across varying target reflectivities. Its infrared laser (850nm) provides consistent, eye-safe (Class 1 IEC60825) distance measurements unaffected by ambient light, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments.
This sensor utilizes time-of-flight (ToF) principles for precise single-point ranging. Its digital output via UART or I2C simplifies integration into robotic navigation systems, UAV terrain following, automated guided vehicles (AGVs), and industrial safety barriers. The module operates within a 0°C to 60°C temperature range, ensuring reliable performance in diverse conditions.
