The MEAS STATOR R-8205 RTD sensor is a precision-engineered, flat laminate temperature sensor, commonly referred to as a “stator stick.” Its primary function is continuous thermal monitoring within the tight spaces between stator windings in electric motors, generators, and other rotating machinery. The sensor utilizes a nickel (N120) resistive temperature detector (RTD) element, offering a stable 672 ppm/°C temperature coefficient and a high accuracy of ±0.5%.
Constructed with a robust glass-epoxy laminate, the sensor is designed for long-term reliability in harsh electrical and thermal environments. Its high dielectric strength (2,000–3,000 VAC) provides critical insulation against high-voltage transients present in motor windings. The rear-exit configuration with PTFE-insulated lead wires facilitates clean installation and routing out of the stator slot.
