The KSD9700/BK05-BB1D is a bimetallic disc-type thermal protector housed in a metallic shell for efficient heat transfer and mechanical strength. Its snap-action mechanism provides a positive, quick-break contact operation at the calibrated 70°C set point, disconnecting the circuit to prevent component damage from overheating. The switch resets automatically once the temperature drops below the trip point, allowing for autonomous system protection.
Designed for direct series connection within a circuit, this switch is suitable for a wide range of AC and DC applications up to 250V. Its normally closed configuration makes it ideal for fail-safe protection, where an open circuit upon over-temperature is required. The integrated 7cm insulated leads facilitate straightforward wiring into existing systems without additional connectors.
