The AMG8833 module integrates a grid of 64 individual MEMS thermopile sensors, each capable of measuring object surface temperatures from 0°C to 80°C with a typical accuracy of ±2.5°C. It communicates via a standard I2C bus (Fast Mode), outputting a complete array of calibrated temperature values for processing. The sensor’s compact SMD package and onboard signal conditioning simplify integration into embedded systems for thermal profiling.
Designed for low-power operation, the module supports multiple power modes including normal, standby, and sleep, with current consumption as low as 0.2 mA. Its 60° viewing angle and 7-meter detection range make it suitable for presence detection, thermal comfort monitoring, and energy management systems in appliances, digital signage, and automated access controls.
