The HC-020K Double Speed Measuring Sensor Module utilizes an infrared LED and phototransistor pair to detect interruptions in light caused by a rotating slotted encoder disc. This optical principle generates clean, digital TTL pulses corresponding to shaft movement, enabling precise calculation of rotational speed and position.
Its dual-channel quadrature output (Channels A and B) provides a phase-shifted signal pair, allowing embedded systems and PLCs to determine both the magnitude and direction of rotation. The module’s 100kHz maximum measurement frequency ensures reliable data capture even in high-speed motor control, CNC spindle feedback, and conveyor belt monitoring scenarios.
