Generic Fire Flame Detection Sensor Relay Module - 760-1100nm IR, 80cm Range, 60° Angle, Adjustable Sensitivity
This flame detection sensor module integrates an infrared photodiode sensitive to 760-1100 nm wavelengths with a comparator and relay output. It is designed for 3.3V or 5V logic systems (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, PLCs) and provides a direct switching interface for alarms or safety shut-offs upon flame detection.
Features
- Detects flame IR spectrum from 760 nm to 1100 nm with a 60° detection angle.
- Adjustable sensitivity via onboard digital potentiometer for precise threshold setting.
- Integrated relay provides direct NO/NC contact output (up to 250V AC) for system control.
- Operates on a 3.3V to 5V DC supply with a typical current draw of 150mA.
- Compact module with screw terminal blocks for convenient power, sensor, and relay wiring.

The module utilizes a broadband infrared photodiode optimized for the spectral emission of hydrocarbon flames. The sensor signal is conditioned through a comparator circuit, allowing the detection threshold to be finely tuned via a blue digital potentiometer. This enables reliable discrimination between flame signatures and ambient IR noise.
Upon detection, the comparator triggers a built-in electromechanical relay, providing isolated dry contact outputs suitable for driving alarms, solenoid valves, or initiating safety protocols. The module is designed for robust operation across an industrial temperature range from -40°C to 80°C, making it suitable for integration into monitoring and control systems requiring immediate response to fire hazards.
