DFRobot Fermion ICG20660L 6-Axis IMU Module (Breakout) - I2C/SPI Interface
The DFRobot Fermion ICG20660L is a high-precision 6-axis IMU module integrating a 3-axis accelerometer and a 3-axis gyroscope, designed for 3.3V systems and compatible with I2C and SPI interfaces for integration with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, and other microcontrollers.
Features
- High-precision 6-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) with 3-axis accelerometer (±2/4/8/16g) and 3-axis gyroscope (±125/250/500dps).
- Low-noise performance (6.5 mdps/√Hz) and ±1% initial sensitivity for stable anti-shaking and motion tracking.
- Flexible digital interface supports both I2C and SPI communication up to 7 MHz for fast data transfer.
- Ultra-low power operation with configurable modes: 140 µA (sleep), 520 µA (accel only), 4.27 mA (gyro only), 4.9 mA (full 6-axis).
- Integrated 512-byte FIFO buffer and programmable interrupt features for efficient system integration.

The ICG20660L module utilizes MEMS-based sensing elements paired with on-chip 16-bit ADCs to deliver precise linear acceleration and angular rate measurements. Its high-resolution output and configurable full-scale ranges enable detailed motion analysis and stabilization control.
Engineered for demanding environments, the sensor operates across an industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The inclusion of frame synchronization (FSYNC) support allows for precise timing alignment with external image capture systems, making it ideal for Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) applications in cameras and VR equipment.
