The ST-70AB is a mechanical float switch engineered for automatic liquid level control in tanks, reservoirs, and sumps. Its principle of operation relies on the buoyancy of a solid float ball, which actuates internal micro-switches to open or close electrical circuits based on preset high and low water levels. The dual-circuit configuration allows one circuit (A) to control filling (inflow) and the other (B) to control draining (outflow), enabling fully automated pump cycling.
Constructed with a sealed plastic housing, the unit is protected against moisture ingress, ensuring reliable performance in damp environments. The design incorporates standard 3/4″ and 1″ NPT threaded ports for easy integration into piping systems, complemented by an L-bracket for flat surface mounting. With a 5A current rating, it can directly switch small to medium-sized AC pumps or interface with larger contactors and PLC control systems for industrial automation.
