The GY-273 module integrates the Honeywell QMC5883L, a high-performance Anisotropic Magnetoresistive (AMR) sensor designed for precise measurement of Earth’s magnetic field. The sensor’s solid-state construction ensures low cross-axis sensitivity and high linearity, enabling accurate determination of both magnetic field direction and magnitude from milli-gauss levels up to 8 Gauss.
Onboard signal conditioning includes amplification, automatic degaussing drivers, offset cancellation, and a 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC), outputting digital data via a standard I2C serial bus. This integrated design simplifies system integration, requiring minimal external components to achieve a stable, calibrated magnetic heading solution suitable for navigation and orientation systems.
