Winsen ME3-SO2/HCL Electrochemical Gas Sensor - 0-20ppm SO2/HCL Detection
The Winsen ME3-SO2/HCL is an electrochemical gas sensor module designed for precise detection of sulfur dioxide (SO2) and hydrogen chloride (HCL) gases in the 0-20ppm range. It provides a linear current output proportional to gas concentration, suitable for integration into industrial safety and environmental monitoring systems.
Features
- Electrochemical sensing principle for SO2 and HCL gases.
- Detection range of 0 to 20ppm with 0.1ppm resolution.
- High sensitivity of (0.6±0.2) µA/ppm.
- Fast response time (T90) of less than 30 seconds.
- Excellent repeatability and stability with <2% output variation.

The ME3-SO2/HCL sensor operates on a three-electrode electrochemical cell principle. Target gases undergo oxidation at the working electrode, generating a current directly proportional to their concentration as per Faraday’s law. This current signal is measured to determine precise gas concentration levels.
Engineered for industrial environments, the sensor features a compact form factor (φ20×16.4mm) and offers high precision, a wide linear range, and strong anti-interference capabilities. It requires a minimal recommended load resistance of 10Ω for optimal signal conditioning and stable performance.
