The sensor operates on the principle of electrical conductivity, where the resistance between its two probes varies with the soil’s moisture content. This change in resistance is converted into a corresponding analog voltage signal. A comparator circuit provides a digital output that toggles when the moisture level falls below a user-defined threshold, set via the onboard potentiometer.
Designed for long-term deployment, the corrosion-resistant metal probe ensures stable performance in various soil conditions without degradation. The module is engineered for seamless integration with common development boards and industrial control systems requiring soil hydration data.
