The Walksnail Avatar VRX serves as a bridge between the digital air unit and analog-style FPV goggles, enabling pilots to experience high-definition digital video without replacing their entire goggle setup. Its core function is to decode the H.265 video stream transmitted from Avatar HD VTXs, outputting it via HDMI with low latency for an immersive flying experience.
Engineered for robust field performance, the VRX incorporates a quad-antenna array—two fixed directional antennas and two user-replaceable antennas—to maximize signal diversity and range, with a claimed maximum transmission distance of around 4 kilometers. The unit’s compact form factor and minimal weight ensure it integrates seamlessly with various goggle models without adding significant bulk.
