Description
The Mini A6 GSM Development Board is a low-cost cellular communication module designed for IoT and M2M applications requiring remote monitoring and control via SMS or GPRS data. Based on the A6 chipset, it provides a compact footprint with full quad-band GSM/GPRS support, enabling connectivity in regions with 2G network coverage. The board interfaces via standard 3.3V/5V logic UART for AT command control, compatible with GSM07.07, GSM07.05, and AI-Thinker extended command sets.
Power management is simplified with a single 5V DC input, and the module includes support for analog and digital audio paths for voice call applications. Its integrated RF section connects to an external helical antenna via a U.FL/IPEX connector for reliable signal reception, with a typical sensitivity of <-105 dBm. The development board form factor includes pre-soldered Berg pins for rapid prototyping, making it suitable for integration into alarm systems, telemetry units, and smart agriculture sensors where cellular backhaul is required.
