The Intel Intel RealSense Depth Camera D456 is engineered for extreme environment operation, combining the proven D450 optical module and D4 Vision Processor in a rugged IP65 enclosure. This design provides certified protection against dust ingress and projected water jets, making it suitable for outdoor robotics, automotive infotainment, and digital signage exposed to the elements.
Its stereoscopic depth technology leverages three global shutter sensors to deliver precise depth mapping up to 6 meters, with an accuracy of less than 2% at 4 meters. The integrated inertial measurement unit (IMU) corrects for platform motion in real-time, significantly improving depth data stability for applications involving drones or autonomous vehicles. The camera outputs depth streams at up to 90 fps with a field of view of 87° x 58°, supported by a 1MP RGB sensor for aligned color data.
