Description
The Grove NFC Module is a compact, ready-to-use hardware solution for integrating Near Field Communication into IoT and embedded projects. Built around the industry-standard NXP Semiconductors PN532 transceiver chip, it handles all low-level RF communication at 13.56MHz, providing a simple serial or I2C interface for the host microcontroller. This abstracts the complexity of NFC protocols, allowing developers to focus on application logic for access control, data sharing, or device pairing.
Designed for low-power operation at 3.3V, the module is compatible with a wide range of development platforms including Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi via its Grove connector system. The included flexible antenna with an IPX connector enables a typical read/write range of up to 28mm, suitable for most proximity-based applications. Its default UART mode simplifies initial setup, while the I2C option frees up serial ports for other communications.
