Description
The NumatoLab Skoll K7 is an advanced FPGA module engineered for seamless integration into rapid prototyping and digital electronics projects. Powered by the robust AMD Kintex-7 XC7K70T FPGA in a compact FBG484 package with Speed Grade 1, this module delivers exceptional performance and flexibility for a broad spectrum of applications, from intricate product development to comprehensive educational initiatives.
Equipped with 2Gb of high-bandwidth DDR3 memory and 128Mb of Quad SPI flash memory (N25Q128A13EF840E), the Skoll K7 ensures efficient data handling and reliable bitstream storage. The module’s high-speed USB 2.0 interface, driven by an FTDI FT2232H, facilitates straightforward programming, JTAG debugging, and configuration. This direct connectivity allows users to effortlessly update firmware and manage projects without the necessity for additional dedicated programming tools.
Further enhancing its versatility, the Skoll K7 includes a 100MHz CMOS oscillator for stable clocking, Gigabit Ethernet for network-enabled applications, and both HDMI input and output interfaces for multimedia processing. With a Micro SD card slot for external storage, a seven-segment display, user switches, and a comprehensive set of 150 user-defined I/Os (plus 8 additional I/Os via the FT2232H), this module provides a rich platform for complex FPGA designs.
