Description
The NXP Semiconductors Development Board showcases the LPC11U6x microcontroller family, specifically the LPC11U68, an ARM Cortex-M0+ based 32-bit MCU engineered for low-cost and energy-efficient embedded applications. Operating at frequencies up to 50 MHz, this board provides substantial processing power for its class, complemented by a two-stage pipeline and fast single-cycle I/O access crucial for real-time applications. Its memory architecture includes up to 256 KB of on-chip flash, 36 KB of main SRAM, and an additional 4 KB EEPROM, offering ample space for firmware and data.
Peripheral support on the LPC11U68 is extensive, featuring a DMA controller for efficient data transfers, a CRC engine for data integrity, and a full-speed USB device controller that supports XTAL-less low-speed mode. Connectivity options include two I2C-bus interfaces, up to five USARTs, and two SSP interfaces for robust communication. A PWM/timer subsystem with six configurable multi-purpose timers, a Real-Time Clock, a 12-bit ADC, and a temperature sensor further enhance its versatility, making it suitable for a wide array of embedded projects requiring precise control and sensing.
