The Two Trees FES V1.0 Filament Fault Detection Switch provides a crucial layer of protection for your 3D printing workflow. This sensor actively monitors the presence and continuity of your 1.75mm filament as it feeds into the extruder. By detecting issues such as filament run-out, tangles, or breakage early, it helps to significantly reduce material waste and the frustration of incomplete prints.
Operating by mechanical contact, the module signals a “high level” when filament is present and flowing correctly. Should the filament break or run out, the internal switch triggers a “low level” signal, activating an audible buzzer and an LED indicator. This immediate alert allows users to pause the print, reload filament, and resume operation, ensuring the successful completion of long or critical print jobs without constant manual supervision.
