The lock is primarily powered by 4 standard AA batteries (LR6 type, not included). For emergency situations if the batteries fail, it features a Micro-USB port on the exterior keypad, allowing you to supply temporary power using a standard USB power bank to unlock the door and replace the internal batteries.

User management is performed through the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app after connecting the lock to your WiFi network. You can add or delete fingerprints, create permanent or temporary numeric passwords, register IC cards, and view real-time access logs. The app also allows you to assign different administrator roles and receive instant push notifications for any lock activity or security alarms.

This lock module is designed to be compatible with standard 5050 mortise lock mechanisms. It fits doors with a thickness between 40mm (1.57 inches) and 70mm (2.76 inches). You will need to verify that your door's existing bore hole and crossbore align with the module's mounting requirements, typically involving replacing the interior thumbturn and escutcheon plate.

The lock includes an anti-peep password feature, which allows you to input random numbers before and after your actual PIN code to prevent onlookers from memorizing it. Additionally, the system will trigger an audible alarm and send a smartphone notification after multiple consecutive wrong password attempts or if it detects physical tampering or forced entry attempts.
