To maintain print quality and prevent moisture absorption, store Silk PLA in a cool, dry environment, preferably in a sealed container with desiccant. Humidity can degrade the filament, leading to poor extrusion and print defects. Proper storage ensures consistent material flow and reduces stringing or bubbling during printing.

Stringing can often be reduced by fine-tuning retraction settings. For Bowden setups, try retraction distances between 4-6mm; for direct drive, 0.5-1mm. Experiment with retraction speed, reducing travel speed, and ensuring your nozzle temperature is within the recommended 200-220°C range to minimize oozing.

While not strictly necessary, an enclosure can help maintain a stable print environment, especially in drafty areas, improving layer adhesion and reducing warping for larger prints. Silk PLA is generally easy to print without an enclosure, but consistent ambient temperature benefits overall print quality and surface finish.

For optimal bed adhesion, set your heatbed temperature between 45-60°C. Ensure the print surface is clean and level. Using an adhesive like a PVA glue stick, hairspray, or painter's tape can further enhance adhesion, especially for larger prints or those with a small footprint.
