Description

The Sonoff MINI-ZBD is a specialized Zigbee 3.0 relay module designed for dry contact control in home and industrial automation. Its core function is to provide a configurable Normally Open (NO) or Normally Closed (NC) relay output, allowing it to safely trigger external devices that require a simple contact closure, such as garage door openers, electric gates, irrigation valves, and boiler systems. This design isolates the control signal from the load power, enhancing safety and compatibility.

Powered by an EFR32MG21 wireless SoC, the module establishes robust IEEE 802.15.4-based Zigbee connectivity. It not only functions as an end device but also operates as a Zigbee router, actively relaying messages to strengthen mesh network stability and extend coverage. The unit’s broad power input range, accepting both high-voltage AC and low-voltage DC, offers significant installation flexibility for retrofitting into existing systems or designing new low-voltage control circuits.
