Description
The Robotbit IOBIT V2.0 is a low-cost, feature-rich expansion board specifically engineered for the BBC Micro:bit. Its primary function is to provide seamless and convenient access to all the I/O pins of the Micro:bit, transforming it into a more versatile prototyping platform. The board integrates a robust 5V 1A USB power input with a self-recovery fuse, ensuring stable power delivery for connected components and the Micro:bit itself. Additionally, it offers dedicated 3.3V and 5V power interfaces, accommodating a wide range of sensor modules and peripherals operating at different voltage levels.
Beyond basic I/O breakout, the IOBIT V2.0 enhances the Micro:bit’s multimedia capabilities. It includes a built-in buzzer, connected to the Micro:bit’s P0 pin, which can be easily enabled or disabled via a slide switch. This switch also allows for routing audio output to a standard 3.5mm audio connector, providing flexibility for external speakers or headphones. The board’s small form factor and integration of useful features make it an excellent choice for educational robotics, rapid prototyping, and embedded projects where space and easy connectivity are critical.
