Description

The RAK19003 WisBlock Mini Base Board is an industrial-grade foundation for building compact, modular IoT nodes. Its core function is to mechanically and electrically interface a WisBlock Core MCU (like the RAK4631) with up to two additional WisBlock I/O or sensor modules, enabling rapid system assembly without complex wiring. The board’s power management system intelligently handles multiple input sources, prioritizing and switching between USB, battery, and solar to maintain continuous operation in remote deployments.

Engineered for low-power applications, the base board provides controlled power domains to its connected modules, allowing the main MCU to put peripherals into deep sleep. The exposed solder contacts for I2C, UART, GPIO, and analog signals offer direct access for custom circuitry or debugging. With a USB Type-C debug port, user-definable LEDs, and a reset button, it delivers a complete development environment for prototyping LoRaWAN, BLE, or other wireless sensor networks before scaling to production.
