The GSI150 Acoustic Emission Sensor employs a piezoelectric ceramic element to detect high-frequency stress waves generated by crack propagation, friction, or leakage in metallic structures. The integrated preamplifier conditions the weak AE signal directly at the sensor head, minimizing noise pickup over the 1-meter coaxial cable to the SMA output connector.
Constructed with a SUS-304 stainless steel shell and a high-sensitivity ceramic face, the sensor maintains performance in extreme temperatures up to 170°C. Its intrinsically safe and explosion-proof design, coupled with an IP68 environmental seal, ensures reliable operation in harsh industrial settings such as oil & gas refineries, chemical plants, and power generation facilities.
