Pro-Range PRTYWS-K020 Liquid Level Sensor - 0-2m Range, 4-20mA Output, 10-32V DC

The PRTYWS-K020 uses a standard two-wire 4-20mA current loop. Connect the positive supply wire (10-32V DC) to the sensor's positive terminal, and the sensor's negative terminal to your PLC or receiver's analog input. The current signal is measured across a precision resistor at the receiver. Ensure proper grounding and use shielded cable for long runs in electrically noisy environments.

This sensor is constructed with corrosion-resistant stainless steel, making it suitable for use with water, oils, fuels, and many non-aggressive industrial liquids. It is not recommended for use with highly corrosive chemicals, acids, or solvents without verifying material compatibility. The sensing diaphragm is designed for the specified 50 kPa maximum pressure.

The 4mA output corresponds to the 0-meter (empty) level, and 20mA corresponds to the full 2-meter level, providing a linear relationship. Calibration is typically performed in your PLC, SCADA, or data logger by scaling the analog input channel. For example, a 250-ohm resistor converts 4-20mA to a 1-5V signal. No user calibration on the sensor itself is required under standard conditions.

The Pro-Range PRTYWS-K020 is rated for a working pressure of up to 50 kPa (approximately 5 meters of water column). This rating covers the hydrostatic pressure from the measured liquid column plus any system backpressure. Do not exceed this pressure limit, as it may damage the internal sensing element and affect accuracy or cause failure.
