Unlike standard ABS, this modified formulation boasts improved printability characteristics, including significantly reduced odor and a lower tendency for warping and cracking, making it more accessible for a wider range of FDM 3D printers.
This material offers excellent mechanical properties, retaining the inherent toughness and impact resistance of traditional ABS, which is crucial for producing durable, rugged parts. Its higher heat distortion temperature makes it suitable for components exposed to outdoor environments or elevated operating temperatures. While standard ABS can often be post-processed with acetone vapor for smoothing, ABS+ typically does not respond to acetone treatment due to its specific modifications, ensuring dimensional stability post-print.
