Description
The OpenMV Cam H7 R2 is a compact, embedded machine vision platform centered around a powerful ARM Cortex-M7 processor. It provides a complete hardware and software ecosystem for implementing computer vision in IoT devices, robots, and industrial systems without the complexity of a full Linux SBC. The board runs a MicroPython interpreter, giving developers high-level control over camera functions, I/O pins, and peripherals while maintaining low-power operation suitable for battery-powered applications.
Its architecture includes a high-speed SPI bus for streaming image data to displays or wireless shields, alongside standard communication interfaces like I2C, CAN, and asynchronous serial for sensor integration. The removable camera module offers adaptability for different vision tasks, supported by onboard IR LEDs for low-light operation. With its 3.3V, 5V-tolerant GPIO, dedicated ADC/DAC channels, and PWM capabilities on all I/O pins, the H7 R2 serves as a versatile vision-based controller for automation and sensing projects.
