What is the expected battery life and how do I replace it?

Powered by a 2600mAh user-replaceable lithium battery, the sensor is designed for up to 8 years of operation under typical usage (several events per day). The battery compartment is accessible on the unit. When the battery is low, you will receive a notification via the mobile app. Simply open the compartment, swap the old battery for a new CR2477 or equivalent 3V lithium cell, and the sensor will resume normal operation.
