Description
The Luxonis OAK-D Pro W is a professional-grade, AI-accelerated depth perception camera engineered for autonomous robotics and industrial machine vision. Its core architecture combines a high-resolution IMX378 color sensor with a wide-baseline (75mm) stereo pair and an active IR dot projector (Ams Belago 1.1), enabling precise depth mapping even in challenging, texture-less, or poorly lit environments where passive stereo systems fail.
Beyond raw sensor data, the module incorporates a dedicated Myriad X VPU delivering 4 TOPS of processing power, with 1.4 TOPS allocated for neural network inference. This allows for real-time execution of object detection, semantic segmentation, or feature tracking pipelines directly on the camera, drastically reducing latency and host system load. The device supports a full suite of computer vision functions including encoding (H.264/H.265/MJPEG), image warping, and optical flow.
Built for robustness, the OAK-D Pro W features an IP66-rated aluminum housing, Gorilla Glass lens protection, and integrated mounting options. Power and data are streamlined through a single USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C connection, with an included Y-adapter ensuring stable operation under high computational loads. This makes it an ideal embedded vision solution for SLAM, 3D mapping, logistics automation, and outdoor robotic navigation.
