For optimal thermal response, it is recommended to use a high-thermal-conductivity paste or compound to fill air gaps between the sensor and the sleeve's inner wall. This ensures fast and accurate temperature transfer, especially in dynamic measurement applications. Omitting paste may result in slower response times and measurement lag.

This sleeve provides mechanical protection but is not inherently waterproof. To achieve a waterproof seal, you must use appropriate O-rings, gland nuts, or thread sealants at the entry point where the sensor cable exits the sleeve. The level of ingress protection depends entirely on the external sealing method employed.

Installation typically involves inserting the temperature probe (PT100 or DS18B20) into the hollow sleeve, optionally applying thermal paste, and then securing the assembly using a compatible compression fitting, thread adapter, or epoxy into your measurement point. Ensure the sleeve is firmly mounted to prevent vibration and ensure good thermal contact with the medium.
