Generic KSD9700/BK05-BB1D Metallic Shell Temperature Control Switch - 45°C Normally Open, 5A 250V
The KSD9700/BK05-BB1D is a metallic shell, snap-action thermal switch designed to protect electrical circuits from overheating by opening at a fixed 45°C set point. Rated for 5A at 250V AC/DC, it provides a reliable, normally-open (NO) safety cut-off for integration into appliances, power supplies, and industrial control systems.
Features
- Fixed 45°C (±3°C) normally-open (NO) thermal cut-off switch.
- Rated for 5A at 250V AC/DC, suitable for mains-powered applications.
- Durable metallic shell construction for robust thermal conduction and mechanical protection.
- Pre-wired with 7cm lead wires for simplified installation.
- Compact dimensions (approx. 9 x 7 x 1 cm) for space-constrained designs.

The KSD9700 series is a bimetallic snap-action thermal switch housed in a metallic shell for effective heat transfer and durability. When the ambient temperature around the switch body reaches its calibrated set point of 45°C, the internal bimetallic disc snaps, mechanically opening the normally-open contacts to interrupt the circuit. This provides a fail-safe, resettable method of over-temperature protection.
Designed for reliability in demanding environments, the metallic housing ensures rapid thermal response and shields the internal mechanism from physical damage. The switch is pre-wired, simplifying integration into existing electrical systems, control panels, or appliance safety circuits where automatic thermal cutoff is required.
