FirstRate FST200-205 Wind Speed & Wind Direction Integrated Sensor, Output 4-20mA, Range 0-50m/s, 0-360°, M12 Connector with 5m Cable
The FirstRate FST200-205 is an industrial-grade integrated wind speed and direction sensor delivering a robust 4-20mA analog output signal, compatible with PLCs, SCADA systems, and data loggers. Its aluminum alloy housing and IP65 rating ensure reliable operation in harsh outdoor environments from -40°C to 85°C.
Features
- Integrated sensor measures wind speed (0-50 m/s) and direction (0-360°) with ±3% FS accuracy.
- Delivers a standard 4-20mA current loop output for long-distance, noise-immune signal transmission to industrial control systems.
- Constructed from corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy with an IP65 protection rating for outdoor durability.
- Powered by a wide 12-30V DC supply and features a military-grade M12 connector with a 5-meter cable.
- Operates across an extended temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and 0-95% non-condensing humidity.

The FST200-205 sensor employs a non-contact magnetic sensing principle for both wind speed (via a low-inertia cup anemometer) and wind direction (via a precision vane potentiometer). This design ensures minimal mechanical wear and provides a stable, long-term measurement solution. The generated signals are conditioned by an industrial-grade electronic module to produce a precise 4-20mA analog output proportional to the measured values.
Built for permanent installation in demanding meteorological and industrial applications, the sensor’s die-cast aluminum alloy body offers high strength and weather resistance. The internal circuitry is protected against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI), guaranteeing signal integrity even in electrically noisy environments. The integrated military-style M12 connector and cable provide a secure, waterproof connection for reliable field deployment.
