Description
eSUN PETG+ (Polyethylene terephthalate glycol-modified) is a high-performance thermoplastic filament combining the best attributes of ABS and PLA. This material delivers excellent mechanical strength and ductility, making it an ideal choice for durable functional prototypes and end-use parts. Its chemical resistance and inherent translucency for certain colors further broaden its application scope, ensuring parts maintain integrity and aesthetics in various environments.
Printing with eSUN PETG+ is straightforward, comparable to PLA, though attention to the first layer is crucial for optimal adhesion without excessive squishing. The material exhibits strong layer bonding, resulting in parts that are tough and resilient, bending rather than breaking. While PETG+ has good hydrophobicity, general good filament storage practices are recommended. It can be printed with or without a heated bed, although a bed temperature of 65°C is recommended to facilitate easier print removal upon cooling. Optimal extrusion temperature typically ranges from 230-250°C to ensure smooth flow and minimize stringing.
