HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Sensor with Acrylic Mounting Bracket
The HC-SR04 ultrasonic distance sensor module operates at 5V DC and provides non-contact ranging from 2 cm to 400 cm with 3mm accuracy. It is directly compatible with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, and other 5V microcontrollers via its simple trigger and echo pulse-width interface.
Features
- Ultrasonic ranging from 2 cm to 400 cm with a 450 cm maximum detection limit.
- High accuracy of ±3 mm and a narrow sensing angle of less than 15°.
- Simple 4-pin interface (VCC, Trig, Echo, GND) for easy integration with 5V logic systems.
- Includes a durable red or blue acrylic mounting bracket with 3.8mm mounting holes.
- Low operating current (<2 mA) and compact PCB dimensions of 45 x 20 mm.

The HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor module utilizes a 40 kHz ultrasonic transducer pair for precise time-of-flight distance measurement. It emits an ultrasonic burst via the transmitter and listens for the echo with the receiver, calculating distance based on the pulse travel time. This method provides stable, accurate readings unaffected by ambient light or surface color, though it can be influenced by soft, absorbent materials.
The module features a compact PCB with integrated signal conditioning circuitry, outputting a TTL-level pulse on the Echo pin proportional to the measured distance. It is supplied with a rigid acrylic mounting bracket, available in red or blue, designed to securely hold the sensor module and facilitate installation in robotics, automation, and prototyping applications.
