KSD302 Ceramic Normally Open NC Temperature Control Switch Thermostat - 140°C, 250V 10A
The KSD302 is a ceramic-housed, normally open (NC) thermal switch designed for reliable over-temperature protection in appliances and industrial controls. It operates at a fixed 140°C set point, handling up to 250V AC and 10A, making it suitable for direct integration into mains-powered heating circuits.
Features
- Fixed 140°C (±5°C) snap-action bimetallic disc for precise thermal cutoff.
- Rated for 250V AC / 10A resistive load, suitable for direct mains connection.
- Ceramic housing provides excellent electrical insulation and thermal stability.
- Normally Open (NO) contact configuration opens circuit upon temperature exceedance.
- Compact and robust design for embedded installation in appliances and control panels.

The KSD302 thermal switch utilizes a bimetallic disc mechanism housed within a high-grade ceramic body. When the ambient temperature reaches the calibrated set point of 140°C, the disc snaps, mechanically opening the normally closed contacts to break the circuit. This provides a fail-safe, non-resettable cut-off for over-temperature protection.
Its ceramic construction ensures high dielectric strength, flame resistance, and long-term stability under thermal cycling. The device is designed for direct series connection with heating elements, motors, or transformers in applications like coffee makers, soldering irons, transformers, and small industrial heaters, where precise thermal management is critical for safety.
