The KSD301 is a bimetallic disc thermostat housed in a ceramic body, providing a reliable and cost-effective solution for over-temperature protection. The normally open contacts close when the ambient temperature reaches the calibrated set point (60°C), completing a circuit to activate a fan, heater, alarm, or cut power to a load. Its robust ceramic construction offers excellent electrical isolation and resistance to arcing, making it suitable for mains voltage applications.
This mechanical switch requires no external power, offering a failsafe, purely physical response to temperature changes. It is designed for surface mounting in appliances, power converters, battery chargers, and industrial control panels where a simple, maintenance-free thermal cutoff is required. The snap-action mechanism ensures a clean, quick make/break contact to prevent chatter and prolong switch life under its 10A rating.
