The KSD302 is a bimetallic disc thermostat, a robust and cost-effective solution for temperature control and safety cutoff. When the ambient temperature reaches its calibrated setpoint of 50°C, the internal bimetallic disc snaps, mechanically opening the normally closed contacts to break the circuit. This action provides a reliable, non-resettable (unless temperature drops) method of protecting equipment from overheating.
Its ceramic body offers excellent dielectric strength and resistance to thermal shock, making it suitable for high-temperature environments near heating elements, motors, or power supplies. The switch is designed for direct series connection with the load, eliminating the need for additional control circuitry in many applications.
