The Adafruit SHT45 Trinkey combines Sensirion’s fourth-generation SHT45 digital humidity and temperature sensor with a powerful ATSAMD21 microcontroller on a keychain-sized USB-A form factor. The SHT45 utilizes a CMOSens® chip for fully calibrated, linearized digital output via I2C, offering excellent long-term stability and low power consumption. A dedicated thermal-isolation cutout around the sensor minimizes self-heating effects from the board.
The onboard ATSAMD21E18 handles sensor polling, data formatting, and USB communication, presenting the device as a serial COM port. Out of the box, it streams real-time sensor readings in CSV format, making it instantly usable with terminal software, data loggers, or custom Python/Arduino scripts. The module is fully functional in condensing environments and includes a power heater for sensor recovery.
